Once upon a time there existed a site called fashion-iconography.net. The earliest of its kind, it stored every imaginable cover of every fashion magazine, from every year, of every international edition. It was a treasure trove for the archival ones of us - a little niche on the web that housed years of fashion history. And then, one day, it disappeared.
fashioniconography.blogspot.com is a dedication to that once great site. It is led by a different owner, without any connection to the old version other than fond memories, and hopes to recreate the greatness of its predecessor.
This site is intended to be used for educational and archival purposes on the history of American Vogue covers. It is not meant for reproduction or profit.
A thank you to bellazon.com and the Fashion Spot forums, and the brilliant scanners out there who provide these images.
